IRENE CHANG, EXTERNAL CO-PRESIDENT
Irene Chang (she/her), a Psychobiology major and an Applied Developmental Psychology and Gerontology double minor at UCLA, is a fourth-year and the 22-23 External Co-President of CHC.
Irene joined CHC to be able to be in touch, learn more about, and support underserved communities. She is passionate about looking at healthcare and health inequities from a holistic lens and support families in the LA community.
Outside of Community Health Collective, Irene is the Associate Editor-in-Chief for the Undergraduate Research Journal of Psychology (URJP), has been a part of Chinese American Culture Night (CACN) for 3 years, a dance volunteer for Expressive Movement Initiative (EMI), a member of Synthesis Dance Theater, in the Music of China Ensemble at UCLA, and part of LA Hacks. Irene is also a Research Coordinator in the Language and Cognitive Development Lab at UCLA. Her hobbies are dancing, playing her two musical instruments piano and erhu, watching K-dramas, enjoying sunsets, and going to K-pop concerts!

HEMANG DHAULAKANDI, internal CO-PRESIDENT
Hemang Dhaulakandi (he/him) is a third-year Neuroscience major at UCLA and serves as CHC's 2023-2024 Internal Co-President.
Hemang joined CHC to be a part of a close-knit group that works together to improve community health through advocacy, education and service.
Hemang's main club endeavors on campus include CHC, International Collegiate Health Initiative (ICHI), and LAST (LA Stop the Traffik). He is also involved in neurodegenerative disease research and works as an EMT for PRN Ambulance. In his free time, Hemang loves to play basketball at Wooden or hang out with his friends.
MEHA GUPTA, PEDIATRIC WELLNESS & DEVELOPMENT Co-DIRECTOR
Meha Gupta is a third-year MIMG (Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics) major at UCLA and one of the Co-Directors of Pediatric Wellness and Development.
Meha joined CHC due to the friendly, fulfilling community it offered. Her membership allows for her involvement in the community alongside organization leaders, patients, and families, thus allowing for the wonderful opportunity to interact on various personal bases while also engaging in clinical volunteering services. Aside from CHC, Meha is an independent student researcher at the O'Sullivan Lab in UCLA's MIMG department, a member of the field hockey team, and an LS 30/40 grader. Her hobbies include crocheting and hiking. |
Mona kuRRa, PEDIATRIC WELLNESS & DEVELOPMENT CO-DIRECTOR
Mona Kurra is a third-year MCDB (Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology) and Neuroscience double major at UCLA and one of the Co-Directors of Pediatric Wellness and Development.
Mona joined CHC because she connected with its community-centered focus in alleviating healthcare inequities via tangible, actionable operations and stayed because of the passionate, caring people she works alongside.
Outside of Community Health Collective, Mona is involved in Bruins Public Health and Universities Allied for Essential Medicines at UCLA. Mona is really interested in viewing healthcare and the problem of access through an interdisciplinary, diverse lens, as well as using these perspectives in the future to fuel her approach to her career in general. In her free time, Mona enjoys hiking, exploring the city, watching sunsets, and hanging out with her friends!

RAYMOND KALLELY, PUBLICITY DIRECTOR
Raymond Kallely (her/him) is a third-year Neuroscience and Comparative Literature double major at UCLA and the Publicity Director for CHC.
Raymond joined CHC because he wanted to be a part of a group that had a real, tangible impact. Through the organization, he has been able to create his own initiatives and lead projects. What keeps him around, moreover, is the people he has met along the way that have grown to be his family.
Snigdha kotaru, EXTERNAL RELATIONS DIRECTOR
Snigdha Kotaru is a third-year Psychobiology major at UCLA and the External Relations Director for CHC.
Snigdha joined CHC because of her interest in aiding neurodiverse populations through both service and advocacy; additionally, she found that CHC was distinctive in its allowance for members to indulge in a multitude of health-related endeavors including but not limited to our Heme Sapiens podcast, community events and drives, etc.
Outside of Community Health Collective, Snigdha is involved in Asian-Pacific American Health CARE and Expressive Movement Initiative and volunteers within Cedar-Sinai's Neurology Unit. Moreover, she researches the impact of genetic deletions on immune pathway dysfunctions that present in autism and psychosis via her independent research at UCLA's Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior's Bearden Lab. On the creative side, she has served as Choreography Captain for UCLA Nashaa – the university's premier Bollywood-Fusion competitive dance team, models for FAST (Fashion and Student Trends) at UCLA, and is a freelance photographer.

Eunice Lee (she/her) is a third-year Biochemistry major at UCLA and the CHC Internal Relations Director.

Anirvin (Anir) Bommaraju (he/him), is a third-year Neuroscience major and the Fundraising Director of CHC.
Anir joined CHC due to his desire to meet like-minded people who shared the same desire to alleviate health inequities and advance the ideology of universal healthcare.
Anir currently is involved in research in an Alzheimer’s lab at UCLA, Synapse as Co-Vice President of Outreach, and Medical Aid Initiative. Additionally, soccer is a part of his lifestyle and will never leave him. A few of Anir's hobbies include watching movies, writing screenplays, and working out.

ALLIE YOON, FINANCE DIRECTOR
Allie (she/her) is a third-year Biochemistry major at UCLA and serves as the Finance Director of CHC.
Allie joined CHC due to her passion for mitigating inequities in the healthcare sphere and doing so alongside like-minded individuals.
Outside of CHC, Allie is a President for KSEA, KATALYST conference organizer, and member of PULSAR. Additionally, she serves as a research assistant at the Nathanson Lab. For fun, Allie loves to play volleyball and tennis, watch baseball, and read!
NATHAN TRAN, co-founder
Nathan Tran, now a Human Biology and Society major alumni, is one of the founders of Community Health Collective. Outside of Community Health Collective, Nathan served as the Internal Co-President of Globemed, wherein he worked to build collaborative partner-centric infrastructure for global health equity in South Central Uganda. Nathan was also involved as a social coach for individuals with autism spectrum disorder at PEERS clinic. Nathan is very passionate about conceiving accessible and engaging curriculum: he taught a seminar at UCLA about how to best leverage rhetoric in social media landscapes to elevate perspectives in social activism and he was a lecturer for high school physics. Within academia, Nathan volunteered his time at the Nishi Lab, an epidemiology lab, wherein he studied the feasibility and efficacy of implementing non-pharmaceutical interventions in social networks to mitigate infectious disease spread. For fun, Nathan loves to longboard, explore, and listen to music.
SAMANTHA CHANG, CO-FOUNDER
Samantha (Sam) Chang is a Neuroscience major alumni and the other founder of Community Health Collective. Outside of Community Health Collective, Sam served as a Director of Publicity for Kids Korner, a tutoring club dedicated to providing accessible and engaging education for all. She also served as the Campus Affairs Coordinator for Expressive Movement Initiative, a club that aims to introduce the art of creative movement and therapeutic dance to children with developmental disabilities. Sam was involved in the Bragin Lab at the UCLA Seizure Disorder Center researching biomarkers to promote early referral of patients who continue to have disabling seizures. Sam was also involved in Icarus Contemporary Dance Company where she expressed her creative dance experience, and Bruin Belles, a service organization that emphasizes community service and women's leadership. In Sam's free time, she loves to go thrifting, make earrings, and dance alone in her room.
